The work was so successful that it was reprinted more than a hundred times between the 16th and 20th centuries. Leaves 2 and 3 are occupied by an epistle by Jean de Clamorgan Au Roy Charles Neufieme. Clamorgan's book whose merit is indisputable has had the rare fortune to see its fate linked to that of the Maison Rustique but it is not uncommon to see Clamorgan's work sell for more than the complete volume.
