First Editions.<br/><br/> A very good set of this scarce surrealist magazine. A literary and fine art journal with Andre Breton Marcel Duchamp and Max Ernst as editorial advisors. The title is taken from the World War II "V for Victory". Illustrations include color plates inserts cut-outs and other movable parts. The first issue October 1942 has a green cover designed by Max Ernst and contributions by Claude Levi Strauss Wm. Carlos Williams Andre Masson and Robert Motherwell. Volume 2 and 3 is a double issue with a tan cover by Marcel Duchamp and a chicken wire insert on the back cover.
