In late Spring of 2018 inmates at the Louisiana State Penitentiary known as "Angola" or "The Farm" the largest maximum-security prison in the US took part in a work stoppage against prison slavery as under the 13th Amendment they were forced into unpaid labor on the former slave plantation. The handbill was created by the Gulf Revolutionary Artist Formation G.R.A.F - an organization of artists for graphic and visual action in the entire Gulf Coast region - and included a short history of the strike and the reasons behind it and demands for reparative and restorative justice.
