Traces of an old signature on the title page now illegible. "1769" has been pencilled at the foot of the title page. One of the entries is the text of a letter from then Princess Elizabeth to her younger brother Edward VI noted as having been in the Cotton Library at the time the Cotton Library burned in 1731. One of the preliminaries has a list of children's names and birthdays written in ink across the page. The "vol. 3" on the first title page is missing and rewritten in pencil by a previous owner.
