The binding is signed on front free endpaper verso. This splendid copy was presented as a prize in the Grand Concours Annual of the Societe Nationale des Professeurs de Francais. It was awarded in December 1890 to J W Blagden of Dulwich College.The society's fine presentation bookplate completed in MS and with blind-embossed stamp is tipped to front paste-down.
