Near fine. 7" x 5.5" beautifully bound by James Macdonald in full blue leather with gilt rules inner dentelles spine in six compartments top edge gilt satin endpapers. Very slight sunning to spine else fine in a blue cloth slipcase. A special copy of this play apparently made for actor Arnold Daly who played the lead role in the original production on Broadway. It is inscribed in the year of publication by Glazer who translated it and adapted it for the American stage and in 1920 by Daly himself. There are photos of Daly acting in the play bound in within the text and carefully trimmed newspaper clippings about Daly and the production affixed to blank pages at the end. Nicholas L.
