The fourth edition of this vanishingly scarce Japanese phrasebook. In contemporary cloth binding with gilt to the spine. Published in Tangshan this guide provides the English and Japanese translations of many practical and conversational phrases including the pronunciations and kana. Also towards the end of this book there are examples of letters written in Japanese. Credited under "Zheng" to the title page with translation assistance by Shinmiya Dai. In a contemporary cloth binding with gilt to the spine and 'W. Ghume' blind-stamped to the front board. Externally very smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. A couple marks to the boards. Internally firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. With age toning and a 1" closed tear to the title page. Paper used has recurring spot-like grain throughout however there is the occasional later spot. Ex libris bookplate of one Cliff Parfit tipped-in to the front free endpaper.
