The History of the Old and New Testament often called the Bible de Royaumont originally published in French in 1669 is a renowned illustrated Bible synopsis written by Nicolas Fontaine under the pseudonym Le Sieur de Royaumont. Created while in prison this influential work features detailed summaries moral commentary and numerous engravings aiming to make scripture accessible. This is the Fourth edition of the English Translation. It's highly regarded for it's detailed engravings and woodcuts. Contemporary binding in 1/4 leather generally internally clean and bright but with occasional page with staining or toning plate 85 "Goliath Slaine - 2.
