1885 · WRCLIT53515 — London: Vizetelly & Co. 1885. Large octavo. Brick-orange cloth decorated in gilt. Plates and decorations. A few hand smudges to cloth but a very good bright copy. First Vizetelly edition ordinary issue reprinting the translation from the Greek by C.V. Le Grice first published in 1803. The plates are full page copperplate engravings from designs by Eisen Gerard and Prudhon originally published by Didot in 1800 and the head and tailpieces are reproductions of designs by Philip of Orleans for an edition of 1718.
