Hardcover blue cloth boards show toning particularly along the spine and edges. The upper right corner of the front has a crease from a dent. This crease continues in gradually decreasing about halfway through the book. The internal binding is good except for a small pinhole at the rear board. No signatures or bookplates no library markings no handwriting found. Pages are toned due to age and there are scattered smudge marks and foxing spots although nothing severe. This is the first US edition although the last text page states it was printed by T and A Constable at the Edinburgh University press the title page states the publisher is EP Dutton of New York. <br/> <br/> E.
