Bright gilt lettering and illustrations on the covers and spine. Cloth tears at the cover corners. Cloth tears and small bits of cloth missing at the top and bottom edges of the spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Mild foxing to the text pages throughout the book though heavier foxing on the end papers frontispiece and title page. Heavy tanning to the yellow front and rear end papers.
