I'm counting on you to assure Parinaud that I'm not sulking"" and shows pessimism for a celebration he was planning to organize: ""Les nouvelles concernant les préparatifs de la fête romaine sont mauvaises. Outre ses contrariétés chroniques le matelot a eu de graves ennuis avec son menu. Les murènes qu'il gavait toutes de casques bleus sont toutes crevées.""
