The final script was dated November 30 1959; this may have been the first version for circulation to potential investors. Ted Sherdeman 1909-1987 was a writer producer and director of motion pictures and television. He began his career in 1950 as a writer for Columbia and Warner Brothers. His films included "Them" "The Eddie Cantor Story" "St. Louis Blues " "A Dog of Flanders" and "Latitude Zero" based on his own novel. His television credits include scripts for "Wagon Train" "Hazel" "Bewitched" "Gilligan's Island" "My Favorite Martian" and "The Flying Nun." All books come with their original dust jackets. Uncommon pictorial slip case in color. The following three books are included:<br /> THE CUCKOO CLOCK by Mrs. Molesworth with numerous illustrations by Florence White Williams.<br /> THE PRINCESS AND CURDIE by George MacDonald with numerous illustrations by Frances Brundage.<br /> A DOG OF FLANDERS and THE NURNBERG STOVE by Ouida and THE KING OF THE GOLDEN RIVER by John Ruskin with numerous illustrations by Frances Brundage.<br /><br />Condition:<br />The books are in overall Very Good condition. All have clean pages and appear unread with only a small light smudge at the upper-outer corner of the front end paper and pastedown of "Cuckoo Clock." The end papers and pastedowns of each book are lightly tanned from the jacket flaps. All books are tightly bound with no cracks and no loose pages. All covers are firmly attached. The red cloth at the upper-outer cover corners of "Cuckoo Clock" has faded. The grey cloth at the top-left back cover corner of "Princess & Curdie" has faded. The dust jackets are in overall Good condition with some light soiling staining to the spine and occasional tears along the perimeters here and there. The slip case is structurally sound with only a small tear at one of the corners at the opening; light soiling to the panels; the title label has some scuffs small stains and a name written in pen.</p> The Saalfield Publishing Co. hardcover
