The caucus was responsible for organizing the first major demonstration of the women's liberation movement in New York the Women's Strike for Equality Day August 26 1970 when 50000 women marched down 5th Avenue in honor of the 50th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Their journal published between 1970-1974 covered a broad spectrum of issues facing women childcare welfare union organizing income inequality abortion sexual harassment racism imprisonment with the goal of striking "at the very root of women's oppression" envisioning "a total transformation of the subservient secondary status of women in all phases of life" Vol.1 No.1. Contents include contributions by Sue Steinman Deidre Griswold Sue Davis Naomi Cohen Sharon Martin Pam Meyers Afeni Shakur Emily Hanlon Nikki Green and others.
