Augier and Labiche worked together regularly on comedies that are considered to be some of their best works.Eugene Marin Labiche was a French dramatist famous for contributing to the vaudeville genre which he wrote and performed himself and domestic pochads. He became famous for his great works of French imbroglio style of play. With half titles. In uniform quarter morocco bindings over marbled boards and endpapers. Externally sound with minor shelf wear and minor rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine particularly to vol. III. With 'Cancelled' library bookplate to the front pastedowns Christ Hospital Library bookplate to the verso of the front free endpapers. Library shelf number to the recto imprint pages.
