First printing Very good in blue cloth covered boards with tarnished gilt text on the spine and bright gilt text on the front board. A small quarto measuring 9 7/8 by 7 1/2 inches with light rubbing to the cloth at the head and heel of the spine and light rubbing to the cloth at the tips of the boards. There is a prior owner's name on the first free end page. In a good plain tan printed dust jacket with text on the spine and front panel with shallow chips at the upper and lower edges of the spine area with soiling to both panels and spine area. A small quarto measuring 9 7/8 by 7 1/2 inches containing 94 pages of text and 24 full color plate illustrations by Donald Maxwell. Facing each of the 24 color plates which show maritime scenes and landscapes of the English countryside is a selection of verse by Kipling. An attractive copy.
