1970574169New York: The American Place Theatre 1970. Softcover. Fine. Theater program. Play directed by Curt Dempster. Two small quarto sheets folded and stapled to make eight octavo pages. Illustrated with two portraits of Oates. Bottom corner very slightly curled else fine. The final page prints a full-page advertisement for Oates' The Wheel of Love. A very uncommon Oates item perhaps because it appears that the play was universally panned by critics. OCLC locates four copies of this program NYU SUNY Buffalo U Rochester U Alberta and three copies of what appear to be a mimeographed or spirit-duplicated script and we note another possible copy of this program and a few more manuscript versions in her papers at Syracuse. 19102230502New York: Moods Publishing Company 1910. Limited Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover limited edition of 500 copies of which this is number 255. The book has an overall grade of VG- but it was lowered to G- because of the missing piece at the top of the spine. The book exterior shows scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding is good no hinge issues and text pages are secure. Even the errata insert at the index page is still present and attached. The front end page contains a 1910 Christmas gift inscription and there's faint evidence of a price once penciled in the corner. The inscription listed is from one of the authors listed in the book: Adelaide Wood Guthrie as a Christmas gift to her sister Grace. The page 39 and 40 that was referenced in the inscription refers to her work and there is also a hand typed sheet on a poem that she wrote after being blind for two years with cataracts. This sheet will stay with the book. No other handwriting found no bookplates no library markings. There is some spotting and foxing present but this is mainly limited to the end pages and pastedowns.

Moods Publishing Company hardcover
