Complete with all 48 color plates and all text title and contents pages all plates and text mounted on gray paper as issued. Cloth and boards are immaculate gilt on spine still brilliant no fraying to cloth but paper covering tips and bottom edges of boards has frayed due to weight of book. Hinges tight but title page professionally re-attached. DJ is clean but worn along top and bottom edges with loss at top of spine and adjacent top edge of panels for a length of 4 3/8" up to 3/4" deep removing most of "The Ship" in title; V-chip at bottom of rear spine fold up to 1 7/8" deep and up to 1 3/4" deep removing all but the "E" in the publisher's name; squarish chip at bottom of front flap up to 1" wide and up to 1 1/8" deep; 1/4" rectangular chip near upper tip of front panel with 1" tear to corner; light chipping at corners.
