The translation is by Ernest Alfred Vizetelly. Vizetelly who often published the copyright editions of various continental authors had published the English edition in 1888; the title page stresses this as the "sole authorized edition." Two volumes. Maroon cloth binding ruled in gilt and with gilt lettering. Clean text; 434 pages and 478 pages with four pages of publisher adverts in the rear.
