It seems that in the former letter Ley realizes that the first time he encountered such a thing was in Lang's film FRAU IM MOND a silent film released in 1929. He writes to ask Lang if this was an original thought on his part. Mrs. Lang answers for her husband who is on vacation after many weeks work on NEWS IS MADE AT NIGHT in the affirmative!
