We believe them to be parts of the same edition although the text is dated 1840 whereas the label on the cover of the Outlines is dated 1836. The text pp 16 comprises the title 1 blank 2 The Song of the Bell 3- 8 and Explanations to the Outlines 9-16 marbled wrapper with cloth spine. The Outlines forty-three numbered plates as called for no text are bound in cloth with a cloth strap allowing the text to be held within the cover. The text has moderate browning with some wear to the wrapper . Outlines internally in very good condition with very occasional spotting to the plates endpapers moderately browned cover somewhat worn and label rather dusty. Ucommon Scans available. This small format edition is bound in uniform half calf over marbled boards. The bindings are worn but intact. In several cases the leather spines are severely worn and abraded but in no case are the boards detached. This example of the Cotta edition comprises 18 volumes of the works followed by seven supplementary volumes issued by Vogel in Leipzig and the single volume life published by the Hoffmann brothers in Weimar. Buchblock ansonsten fest die Seiten nur vereinzelt leicht stockfleckig. Es fehlt das Titelblatt der Band beginnt mit Schillers "Vorerinnerung". Insgesamt altersentsprechend noch gut erhalten. Erstausgabe von Schillers Gedichte-Auswahl eigener Hand. Das Titelblatt fehlt der Band setzt also ein mit Schillers Vorerinnerung: "Vielleicht hätte bei Sammlung dieser Gedichte eine strengere Auswahl getroffen werden sollen. ." welche mit seiner Datierung "Weimar in der Ostermesse 1803" schließt. Der Einband trägt deutliche Zeitspuren der Buchblock selbst ist jedoch noch gut erhalten und kann neu eingebunden werden. unknown
