The near fine dustwrapper is complete with minor rubbing to the spine tips and a very slightly faded spine. A much nicer copy than normally seen of this rare first edition. Despite these sentiments Woodward was to translate several more Simenon novels. She had previously been secretary to Arthur Koestler which may have given her a taste for pschological travail.
