Jahrhundert zurück als in England und in der Schweiz die ersten Häuser entstanden um Arbeitern die Möglichkeit der Versammlung Bildung und kulturellen Betätigung außerhalb von Kirchen und Kneipen zu bieten. Der vorliegende Band rekonstruiert die Geschichte der Volkshausbewegung und beschreibt die Entstehungsbedingungen der ostdeutschen Kulturhäuser. The tip of one corner knocked and with several tiny slivers of fading to the cloth at the upper margins. Free endpapers spotted and lightly toned. A very good copy in the Victor Reinganum designed surrealist dust wrapper which is non-price-clipped but somewhat nicked chipped torn and edgeworn.
