The folding map of North America has a closed tear and is from the 1806 edition. Michigan Indiana & Illinois are still territories here. Altho Captains Lewis & Clark are mentioned on p. 74 the results of their expedition are essentially unknown here: the text of this paragraph and this page varies slightly from the preceding edition.
