Beautiful blue cloth blind stamped with black decoration and with gilt designs to the boards. In good clean and bright condition. Rarely seen in this condition. Inside the total work is unpaginated but includes collections by Bertall Cham Ernest Griset and Henry Monnier. There are also some illustrations by Goya and Francis Wey. Although most of the pages are bright and tidy the preface has some marking to it. Of particular note are the lovely fables of Aesop by Griset and the beautifully hand coloured "Les types de la Commune" by Bertall. 12 hand coloured leaves. Therond not credited in the artist list provides eight lovely engraved plates involving India. In addition to pages printed on white paper there are also sheets of mustard and green. Approximately 200 pages. 30cm x 46cm. . Un magnifique exemplaire de ce recueil de caricatures et d'œuvres illustrées. Belle reliure en toile bleue estampée à froid avec des décorations noires et des motifs dorés sur les plats. En bon état propre et lumineux. Rarement vu dans cet état. À l'intérieur l'ouvrage n'est pas paginé mais comprend des recueils de Bertall Cham Ernest Griset et Henry Monnier. On trouve également quelques illustrations de Goya et Francis Wey. Bien que la plupart des pages soient lumineuses et propres la préface comporte quelques marques. Il convient de noter en particulier les charmantes fables d'Ésope par Griset et les magnifiques « Les types de la Commune » coloriés à la main par Bertall. 12 feuilles coloriées à la main. Therond qui ne figure pas dans la liste des artistes fournit huit jolies planches gravées sur l'Inde.
