Cabanes was a French doctor historian and fiction author. This is his biography of the famous French revolutionary Jean-Paul Marat 1743-1793 though he was born in Boudry Neuchatel Switzerland and had a career studying medicine and a scientist interested in optics and electricity as well as a political theorist.
