1923571Los Angeles: Automobile Club of Southern California 1923. 25 1/2 x 15 3/4 inches. Very good condition with fold separation expertly repaired wit archival mending tap. This is a handsomely composed map using the color red to highlight the paved roads. The map runs from the Morongo Indian Reservation in the east to the Crags in the west. It runs from San Juan Canyon in the south to Antelope Valley in the north. On the verso there are three maps: A Motor Routes and Connecting Roads of San Diego County B Automobile Routes Venture and Santa Barbara from Los Angeles Northwest C Motor routes between Los Angeles San Francisco Sacramento and Reno including certain roads into the High Sierras Lake Tahoe Yosemite valley General Grant and Sequoia Park.This map is a cartographic artifact of a bygone era.There is a notation on the front cover that the date of the map is 1920. And frightened people won't save it. Cities do dies. Today we have a choice. We can choose whether New York lives or dies. Chose life. Like the tides around it New York rises and falls.
