First edition of this scarce price list from the famed F.C. Taylor Fur Company in St. Louis which was one of the major fur industry companies from 1870 into the 20th century and was one of the largest manufacturers of traps and trapping equipment. During the opening decades of the 20th century there were skyrocketing prices for furs driven by the fashion market especially the more affordable ones such as mink skunk raccoon muskrat opossum and wild cat. A brief history begins "Ninety-three Years of Colt Fire Arms Manufacture" dated from the first revolvers made at Paterson New Jersey in 1836. The new .22 caliber products announced are the Official Police Revolver and Officers' Model Target Revolver. A pink note paper is tipped in to the first page on which Stanley Jensen then VP Sales has written that the catalog is not entirely up-to-date but indicates the lines that Jensen-Byrd carries. His business card is affixed too. A staggering compendium of products designed for the ease of life and business that provides a glimpse of life in Seattle in the 1950s. Everything from laundry stoves to garage-door hardware presented with b&w illustrations. Original blue paper wrappers printed in navy and gold. Dampstaining to the spine and along the edges resulting in some color bleed from the wrappers to the first and last leaves. The wrappers are toned along the extremities. Not located in OCLC although digital versions of some earlier catalogues are available.<br /> <br /> Priced trade catalogue showcasing over 120 different styles of Knapp shoes primarily men's with some women's girls and boys options as well. Many of the men's shoes are given names based on occupations or locations often drawn from the types of materials used - including bizzarely "The Dictator" made of Australian kangaroo leather - while the women's and girls shoes are all given women's names. An illustration of the hand-sewing department is included along with a note acknowledging the times: "It is our policy to maintain our high standards of Quality under any and all conditions.
