The evidence was received from 213 witnesses representing 94 organisations as well as 27 independent witnesses. The Committee on Industry and Trade also known as the Balfour Report it was chaired by the industrialist Arthur Balfour was set up to discover the reasons for the United Kingdom's economic decline since the Great War. With a full list of witnesses and the organisations they represent. From the library of the Institute of Bankers with their regulations tipped-in to the front pastedown.
