News-clipped articles relating to the trial pasted in at front and rear with ink notations from previous owner marking the date. Boston Post article at front headlined: "End of a Famous Fraud - The Tichborne Claimant Arthur Orton Tells the Story of His Imposture" 1895 with adjacent article 1899 adhered to half-title: "Lunatic May Be Roger Tichborne." At rear from the New Bedford Evening Journal 1895: "A Tichborne Romance - A New and Plausible Claimant Appears in Australia - Story of Piracy and Madness." An account of the famous Tichborne fraud case and surrounding controversy in which "The Claimant" a man later discovered to be Arthur Orton came forward claiming to be the wealthy son of an English Baroness.
