His publications include an account of Jewish history based on non-Jewish sources and studies of the Bible. On his work and life see in length Singer & Grossman: "Cassel Paulus Stephanus Selig" Jewish Encyclopedia 1906. Of utmost rarity. Only 5 institutional holdings worldwide one Hebrew Union College comprising of an incomplete copy.
