The author A. T. Kearney Inc. was retained for the purpose of preparing a report which identified and evaluated design elements required in a plan for effective closure and long-term post-closure care and maintenance. Fort Huger was an earthwork fortification located on Harden's sometimes called Hardy's Bluff along the James River in Virginia. The bluff is directly across the river from Newport News Virginia. Fort Huger along with nearby Fort Boykin were built in order to prevent Union forces from trying to move up the river towards the Confederate capital of Richmond. The fort was named after Major General Benjamin Huger. unknown

Gusinde the missionary remains well-regarded for his anthropological work first published in German from 1931-1974. One of the publisher's series on the oral traditions of South American Indians.
