This iteration as stated in the preface is published in the 2nd year of the new Spanish Constitution during the Trienio Liberal year 14 of the reign of Ferdinand VII year 290 of the Miraculous Apparition of Our Lady de Guadalupe and other important dates generally following Roman Martyrology. <br /> <br /> <br /> Lists phases of the moon with illustrations month by month astronomical signs weather patterns feast and holidays etc. A fascinating and scarce object from the tail end of Colonial Mexico. . We find no copies of either edition currently offered in the trade Jan. 2016 with only 8 copies housed institutionally and only one copy of this edition held by the Univ. of Manchester Library. Les 150 premières pages présentent également un manque de papier en coins inférieur sans perte de texte. Une trace d'humidité claire en marge inférieure de l'ensemble de l'ouvrage et à la charnière des 50 dernières pages. Cet excellent et peu courant ouvrage mériterait d'être restauré. L'auteur était Polytechnicien. L'ouvrage est divisé en 4 livres : Des causes et des lois de la gravité universelle. Des lois de l'astronomie. Des lois de la physique. Des lois de la combinaison des atomes.
