The photograph includes a boy and young man standing in the doorway on the left and a boy standing in the archway of the gate. Shows two shops through the gateway. The photographer Francis Bedford 1815-1894 initially followed his father into architecture but by the early 1850s he had become a photographer. No date of publication but Bedford is known to have taken other photographs in Canterbury in 1855. In Near Fine Condition: slight discoloration of mount; otherwise clean and bright. F. Frith unknown
