Each of the three volumes is gilt-stamped with its title front and spine and also with the former owner’s name L. Bridgman†lower front cover. Leonard Bridgman was one of the aritsts and editors of this series. He is better known however as the editor of Jane’s All the World’s Aircraft from 1941 to 1959. Each of the volumes is also inscribed “With the Compliments of/C. Charles Tapp†another of the editors and bears the date 11/11/45. This then is Bridgman’s personal copy of the set given to him by one of his fellow editors. Each issue inlcudes numerous photos. diagrams and silhouettes.
