19350011716Caldwell Idaho: The Caxton Printers Ltd. 1935. Hardcover. Good/None. This volume is reprinted from "The Wonders of Geyser Land" edition of 1878 by Frank D. Carpenter; with facsimiles of the original title page and frontispiece and the addition of a preface notes appendices and illustrations by the editors. The supplementary material a large part of it from first sources and hitherto unpublished presented with this reprint makes the new edition a more complete historical record of what happened in the Park. Late in the summer of 1877 Frank D. Carpenter a member of and one of the organizers of the Radersburg party chronicled the unhappy consequences of what happened when his tourism party met a band of Indians fleeing from pursuit by the United States Army. 320 pages cloth covers being a gold like material with silver lettering on the spine and front cover. There is wear on the spine and at the head and tail of the spine and along the outer edge of the spine. Also corner and edge wear on the covers. Inside the front covers and the back covers there is a map of the "The Nez Perce' Campaign- 1877". Flipping through the work no evidence is found of any underlining no highlighting no bookplates no owner names not ex-libris no remainder marks no folded or dogeared pages no foxing no smudges. The volume is protected in an archival quality clear cover that is easily removeable. An historic account of an early Yellowtone event; available for immediate shipment carefully packed in a sturdy box!

The Caxton Printers, Ltd. hardcover
