In addition to these special sections there is an illuminated section The Sermon on the Mount plus two sections of color plates showing classical art related to Christianity. A Bible Dictionary and section of maps in color are found at the rear. Note that I have used the ISBN as printed on the copyright page but I believe the publisher may have used this same number for two similar editions with different covers. This edition has a heraldic device bordered in gilt on the front cover; there is another edition I believe also using this ISBN with the cover showing artwork of Jesus on the cover. In 1950 he earned a PhD from Columbia after which he taught at the University of Rochester. In 1952 he began teaching at Brandeis University and established the Anthropology Department in 1963.
