Isidore Bush described as "American's greatest 19th century viticulturist" first published this catalogue in Saint Louis in 1869 as "Illustrated descriptive catalogue of grape vines small fruit and potatoes." It contained descriptions of native hybrids with woodcut illustrations. His second catalogue was published in 1875 and the third in 1883 each including more hybrids and containing more illustrations. This translation contains only the sections relating to American grape vines. The text describes their growing practices insects and the separate hybrids many with woodcut illustrations.
