18759486Medina COunty Ohio: Ohio Farmers Insurance Company 1875. Folded sheet. Very good. 16mo. Folded sheet measuring about 3.25" x 5.5" when folded and opening to about 19.5" x 5.5". Printed recto/verso. Very good with typical dust-soiling to the front and rear panels with a few tears at the folds; sound. A rare and wonderful little document of Ohio multicolor printing which details the cash and assets on hand belonging to this Medina County Ohio-based insurance company which exclusively catered to the needs of farmers. A detailed list of the paid-out claims takes up the entire verso while the other side describes the company's strong financial backbone which is what allows them to pay out claims. The to-the-penny payout details are worthy of study by anyone interested in the forensic accounting of farming or insurance concerns in 19th century Ohio.
