18759486Medina COunty Ohio: Ohio Farmers Insurance Company 1875. Folded sheet. Very good. 16mo. Folded sheet measuring about 3.25" x 5.5" when folded and opening to about 19.5" x 5.5". Printed recto/verso. Very good with typical dust-soiling to the front and rear panels with a few tears at the folds; sound. A rare and wonderful little document of Ohio multicolor printing which details the cash and assets on hand belonging to this Medina County Ohio-based insurance company which exclusively catered to the needs of farmers. A detailed list of the paid-out claims takes up the entire verso while the other side describes the company's strong financial backbone which is what allows them to pay out claims. The to-the-penny payout details are worthy of study by anyone interested in the forensic accounting of farming or insurance concerns in 19th century Ohio. Highly ephemeral unrecorded in OCLC and naturally scarce in commerce. Ohio Farmers Insurance Company unknown
