Contracted to write the novelization of the script Asimov rewrote a number of plot holes and due to his speed was published prior to the film and won Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects and Best Art Direction in Color. Of those 40 pages seven are views of movie theater and nickelodeon plans that incorporate the new laws. Publisher's printed and stapled brown wrappers. Near fine condition. OCLC locates only two copies.Projection booths and the nitrate film stock led to a great many fires in the early days of the motion picture industry. Likely more harm was dome to the public buy the stampeding than the fire itself. In the diagram of a properly constructed projection both we can see that asbestos was liberally used. Mascelli 1917-1981 launched his career with newsreels stunt aerial films during World War II and was the director and cinematographer for the US Air Force’s “Operation Crossroads†filming from a specially outfitted B-17 the first Bikini Atoll A-Bomb tests. He later was the cinematographer for John Craig’s Danger is My Business Television Series also cinematographer for a number of B horror and thriller movies.
