The item thoroughly details MSU's direct involvement in the Vietnam War through its international programs for which it had received government funding. "After the U. S. government had approached MSU about a possible technical assistance project in Vietnam . 4 individuals made a two week inspection tour of Vietnam and returned recommending that MSU provide 'technical assistance' to the Diem regime." B&W and color photographs Uncommon and rather nicely-done super-MM-fan publication self-billed as "the first digitally-designed Marilyn book." It's presented in something of a scrapbook format with photographs and other illustrations interlaced with "the star's reflections on her own life -- her thoughts feelings and anecdotes culled from interviews and obscure recordings." Although Jack Allen is the primary author and about a third of the book's photos are credited to him the volume is described as a gathering of "rare and revealing photos many unseen from the private collections of Marilyn's premier fan club"; this would be the group "Marilyn Remembered" whose president Greg Schreiner states in a brief introductory note that the book represents "an opportunity for members to celebrate the millennium by sharing rarely-seen photographs from our collections of the woman who became the quistessential icon of the 20th century." In addition to Mr. Allen another sixteen individuals are given credit for the book's photos; there are also a number of "digital illustrations" rendered by Amit Zohar. . She would become a teacher of special education after rehabilitation and married a trucker named John Boothe in 1976. She was inducted into the National Ski Hall of Fame in 1967 and died in 2012. <br/><br/>Director Peerce's notable film debut as director "One Potato Two Potato" 1964 was a groundbreaking drama about an interracial marriage and one of the first films to portray such a relationship. He would later marry and divorce Marilyn Hassett who plays Jill in the film she won a Golden Globe for her debut role. Beau Bridges costars as her love interest. Nominated for an Academy Award. <br/><br/>Set in Bishop California shot on location throughout California. <br/><br/>Blue titled wrappers noted as "Office Copy Cover" in ink on the front wrapper copy No. 74-1-82. In addition to sexy shots of Marilyn in her slip there is a double-page spread showing four photographs from her iconic scene in The Seven Year Itch of her holding down her white dress as a subway up-draft blows it above her knees. The photograph shows Marilyn Monroe Arthur Miller and John Huston on the set of their film The Misfits directed by Huston from a screenplay by Miller and which starred Marilyn Monroe Clark Gable in his last film performance Montgomery Clift Thelma Ritter and Eli Wallach. In the photo Huston Monroe and Miller left to right are sitting next to one another on canvas director’s chairs engaged in conversation. Miss Monroe is wearing a terry cloth robe and has the script open on her lap. The Misfits is a complex drama that was the last film for it’s two lead actors Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable which explores the relationship between a fragile divorcee Monroe and a brooding cowboy past his prime Gable. When this photograph was taken Arthur Miller and Marilyn Monroe were married with their divorce coming the following year - January 1961. United Artists hardcover books
