Soft cover 24 cm 304 pp. This research deals with the change in Trebizond's urban landscape during the period of Ottoman accommodation in the city in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. It also looks at the urban landscape of Trebizond the capital of the empire of Trebizond in the late Byzantine period. Its aim is to discern the changes occurring within the urban outline and to reconstruct the transformation of the city and its society in the late Byzantine period after the surrender of the city to the Ottomans in 1461. Thus it aims to present the transformation of the city its society and its economy through this transitional phase of the late fifteenth century and to demonstrate the Ottoman city of Trabzon after the establishment of the Ottoman army and administration in the region.
