Biography of the Roman Catholic deacon Francois de Paris 1690-1727: 'Deacon theologian and supporter of Jansenists. His pious life led people to consider him as a saint; miracles were reported to occur at his grave in Saint-Médard's cemetary in Paris with people experiencing convulsions; they were known as 'Convulsionnaires of Saint-Médard'. Le Courayer was accused of attempting to justify Anglican church doctrines in his efforts to foster the return of the Anglican Church to the Catholic fold.
