The story of Friday Christian first born son of HMS Bounty mutineer Fletcher Christian and his wife Mauatua a native Tahitian woman. He was born October 7 or 14th 1790. He was also and later better known as Thursday October Christian. He was one of two representatives of Pitcairn Island who met with the British when two of their frigates arrived in 1814; he comported himself so well that the British captains decided that a viable colony had been created and thus did not procesute Bounty sailors for mutiny. 18833005041883. 8"x5" 4pp handwritten letter dated November 16 1883 to a "A Lee Rothwell Wife" from 4 Church of Christ Elders: David Riggs G.G. Hertzog Robert Wilson and George D. Bower. ~~This tantalizing letter reads like a Congressional resolution in which the Elders lay out a few facts alongside a good deal of references to scripture to hint at some sort rupture between the Rothwells and the Church that they would see repaired. Apparently nearly a year earlier the Rothwells "did leave the communion.voluntarily and without just cause or justifiable reason; but in violation of the positive command of Jesus Christ.". This "disorderly and sinful conduct" caused the Church to withdraw fellowship. However they decided to write the letter in the hopes the Rothwells would return confess and they could all forget "the things that are past". ~~Who were A. Lee Rothwell and his wife Why did they leave the church and did they ever go back A very interesting and unique letter. Good. unknown
