Dwight grandson of Jonathan Edwards founded the school shortly after his arrival in Greenfield Hill Fairfield Connecticut defying educational norms by admitting both boys and girls teaching them the same curriculum and doing away with corporal punishment. This copy includes the list of subscribers as well as the publisher's advertisement on p. 340. The list of subscribers includes by our count thirty-five women and a guy named "Mr. Life Night." Nachdem er an dem Gymasium zu Salzburg 6 Jahre die Grammatik Poesie und Rhetorik gelehrt hatte erhielt er an der dortigen Universität im November 1734 das Lehramt der theoretischen Philosophie. Am Ende des J. 1736 kehrte er in sein Kloster zurück und starb als dessen Prior und Senior den 5.
