Charlotte Frederick was the daughter of Sir John Frederick 5th Bt. Her sister Frances married Henry Fellowes. Annotations on verso of New Testament title detailing Henry and Frances' children's vaccinations and deaths between 1812 and 1881. Their son Frederick is noted as having died at the Royal Barracks Dublin in late 1848 of fever and cold 'caught by sleeping in the rain for 4 nights.near Thurles.in pursuit of the traitor O'Brien'. William Smith O'Brien the Young Irelander was recognised at Thurles Station County Tipperary in August 1848. A general arrived and ordered the station clerk at gunpoint to arrange a special train to Dublin for the detained man Journal of the Irish Railway Record Society. Contains the Apocrypha.
