1735114291London: Unknown. Fair with no dust jacket. 1735. Unknown. Map. Copper engraved Map. Map image size not including Margins = 41 cm x 48 cm. Uncoloured. With an Attractive Central Carouche and an 'Explanation of the Figures'. = " Royal Marine 1 Battery; Barracks for the Troops; Powder Magazine" etc etc plus an inset 'Side view of the Little and Great Camp'. Double page plan. Horizontal Centre fold has split an inch either side and similar to the vertical fold and right in the centre where both folds meet but NO LOSS - I haven't repaired as this should be done with expertise. Some pretty uniform browning in general to the map and some staining to the bottom margin and close trimmed but leaving the border at the top edge where some staining has leeched into the top blank edge. Generally a good image and complete but with some fault as noted. NO date but written in pencil by a former owner in the margin is "Published 1735" and this may be the date of the Edition the map was originally taken from but could be as late as 1747 - I can't be certain.
