Quarto/4to measures around 8 7/8" by 11" by 2 1/4". Full brown soft leather/suede binding black lettering to spine on red and black labels. Scuffing and marking to binding some rubbing and tearing at edges and on hinges with bumped and torn corners and a little loss to head and tail of spine. Cracking along outer hinges and partially along inner hinges but boards still attached and book contents reasonably firm. Page edges browned scuffed foxed and marked. Staining to preliminary and hindmost pages. A little marking and occasional light foxing to page surfaces but otherwise reasonably clean and there does not appear to be any underlining marginalia etc. See pictures for further information. J. Here is a scarce Victorian era guidebook to the region the Irish guides are not often seen. This is a Very Good minus copy of the First Edition. An uncommon book. Green cloth binding with a fancy gilt title on the front cover. Clean text; 111 pages then 72 pages of the fascinating "Guide Book Advertiser." There is a fold-out map; Black's catalog of guides serves as the rear endpapers the Index is in the front. This is a sweet little book but it is loose; the gutters and several pages have separated.
