A collection of 12 edifying stories for children in the French language each accompanied by a hand coloured lithograph. Internally very good with light foxing to the edges of some pages. The 12th plate is tipped on to top board with a metallic decorative frame of which only a part remains. Inscription to ffep dated 1855. Binding in good only condition with wear to spine hinges. Uncommon Un recueil de 12 contes édifiants pour enfants chacun accompagné d'une lithographie coloriée à la main. Intérieur très bon avec de légères rousseurs sur les bords de certaines pages. La 12e planche est renversée sur le plat supérieur avec un cadre décoratif métallique dont il ne reste qu'une partie. Inscription au ffep datée de 1855.
