Chopin knew Bialoblocki from the days when his father let rooms to the students of the Warsaw Lyceum where he was a Professor of French. The two remained friends even after Bialoblocki graduated from the Warsaw University he studied painting. During a summer holidays Frederic paid a several visits to Jan.
